With it's chicken face protruding from one side of the jar and the large tail from the other side, the Chicken Sugar Bowl is a must have. The lid has a perfect sized knob handle to make opening the sugar bowl extra eay. It matches the Chicken Cookie Jar perfectly. This clay earthenware is hand molded, dried naturally, then smoothed and burnished with an agate stone before being fired. No glaze or varnish is used. Each item is of the highest quality and truly is one of a kind with it's own unique blemishes, shades and indentations. Pomaireware is ovenproof up to 450 degrees F. It can be used on a gas range on low and medium heat. You can use it on and electric range top with a diffuser. Ceramic range does not need a diffuser. They are microwave safe. Use with wooden or plastic utensils. Do not use dishwasher since some soaps leave a residue. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Does not need to be seasoned. Lead free.
